About this property

Welcome to Oyama Lake Lodge

Oyama Lake Lodge is a modest resort hotel featuring rustic wooden cabins set on a serene lakefront property. Guests can find basic accommodations that vary in amenities such as showers, toilets, and stoves, complemented by on-site facilities including a camping and fishing supply store along with boat rentals. The atmosphere is quiet and unpretentious, appealing to visitors seeking a simple getaway in nature.

Located 9 km from Oyama Zipline and within reach of popular outdoor spots like Kekuli Bay Provincial Park and Kalamalka Lake, the lodge offers convenient access to various recreational activities. Nearby attractions also include Gray Monk Estate Winery and Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, known for their scenic trails, water sports, and tasting experiences. The property is approximately a 44-minute drive from Kelowna International Airport, making it accessible for travelers.

The lodge welcomes a diverse crowd, including LGBTQ+ guests, and is praised for its pet and family-friendly environment by many reviewers. While its rustic nature is appreciated for an authentic outdoor experience, some guests note that certain cabins may lack hot water or modern comforts, so it suits those prepared for a back-to-basics stay. The staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Visitors can enjoy peaceful mornings on the water, kayaking among islands, fishing, and relaxing evenings by a fire. However, the location’s road access is noted to be narrow and sometimes challenging, with cooler temperatures than the valley below, so appropriate preparation is advisable. Overall, Oyama Lake Lodge is recommended for those desiring a quiet, nature-focused retreat rather than a highly polished resort experience.

We were just passing through and they were able to accommodate us for one night. We stayed in the bus for a truly unique experience. It was a little cold for the time of year we were there but they let us know beforehand so we were prepared. Will definitely go back. Beautiful area.

Pretty great place. Bed in cabin 9 is comfy, no hot water though the website said there was. Study the little tiny map they have extremely carefully because cabin 8 is nowhere near cabin 9 and virtually impossible to see on their little map. If you like rustic this place is perfect.

Oyama Lake Lodge is such a gem. It’s pet friendly, kid friendly and the perfect quiet escape if you just want to unplug and enjoy nature. We went with family and booked 4 different spots. The cabins are rustic and with different amenities depending on which you book( showers, toilets, stove, etc) . We spent our days kayaking around the 27 little islands, fishing, boating, cooking meals together and soaking up the scenery. For me, the peaceful mornings on the water and relaxing evenings by the fire were the absolute highlight. Luckily I’m with Telus and had zero service so the forced disconnect made it even better. A few unlucky ones had Rogers and could still get emails, so boo for them having to work while on vacation The staff are amazing and helpful but never overbearing. Highly recommend and will be going back!!

My experience with Oyama Lake Lodge was fantastic! The staff is very friendly and helpful. If there's a problem, they're happy to think along with you and help you solve it. If you're looking for a nice camping spot at a good price, this is definitely recommended. It's my first year, but definitely not my last!

We been coming here for over 15 years. Nickie and Harry are doing the right things up here. The road can be a bit saucy at times, but its no drama if you are prepared. Facilities are clean and everything is as it should be. I'd live here if I could.

I loved my trip to Oyama eco lodge. As someone who works a lot and rarely takes breaks-this was a breath of fresh air. The views are stunning, I love the accessibility to the lake. If you truly want to be in nature, this is a great place. The fishing is wonderful, I love the easy boat rentals and cozy cabins. If you want a rustic yet comfortable experience, this is it. I booked my next stay before I left. Thank you to the incredible staff for all your hospitality. See you again!

It’s a nice place with nice people. This campsite is located at the top of the mountain. The air temperature is 10 degrees below the valley temperature. It’s a nice quiet place for fishing and quiet relaxation. The lake is beautiful, but cold. I won’t recommend it with children. The road to the lake is narrow and unpaved. It is best to take clothes for rain and cold. The air is fresh and clean.
